Renew Root Certificate

Hi all,

I have a question regarding renewal of the root certificate. I recently joined a company and found out that the Root Certificate is about to expire. The server that issues the certificates is no longer available. As I am not really familiair with the certificates I hope some of you can point in the right direction what steps to take.
