    Hello Regina Antolick

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, you seem to be experiencing a problem with EXCEL formula usage. Please correct me if I have misunderstood. As users of Microsoft products and forum support staff, we fully understand the difficulties you are currently experiencing and will do our best to help you.

Your situation usually means that Excel is experiencing a lack of resources when trying to perform a formula calculation. This can be caused by several reasons:

    1. Insufficient computing resources: If your computer has limited memory or processor resources, Excel may not be able to perform formula calculations with complex or large amounts of data.

    2. Too Much Data or Complex Formulas: When Excel is working with large data sets or worksheets containing complex functions, arrays of formulas, and so on, it may be exceeding its computational capabilities.

    3. Other programs hogging resources: If you are running other large programs or tasks at the same time, it may affect Excel's performance and resource allocation.

Option 1: Optimize formulas and data:

Simplify complex formulas in worksheets and minimize the use of array formulas and numerous nested functions. If possible, split worksheets into multiple smaller workbooks to reduce the computational load on a single file.

    Option 2: Increase computing resources:

If your computer configuration allows, try closing other programs, especially those that take up a lot of memory or processor, to free up resources for Excel.

Please understand that our initial response may not always resolve the problem immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!

    Best wishes
