Hello Adam,
Double-check that the resource allocation isn’t exceeding the availability of the resources, which might prevent the cost from being calculated correctly.
Verify that each resource is properly assigned to the respective tasks 2 and 3, similar to how you attached the resource to task 1.
Double-check that the resources are not over-allocated, which might prevent the cost from showing up. Resources can only be allocated to the extent of their availability.
Ensure that the task types (Fixed Units, Fixed Duration, Fixed Work) for tasks 2 and 3 match the settings of task 1 if the cost calculation works there. Different task types affect how resources and costs are calculated.
If your resources have different cost rates set in multiple rate tables, make sure the correct rate table is being used for each task.
Sometimes, simply refreshing the project or reapplying the resource to the task can fix the issue. Try removing and then re-adding the resource to tasks 2 and 3.
Ensure your version of Microsoft Project is up to date, as bugs affecting resources and cost calculations might have been fixed in later updates.
Hope this helps!
Warm Regards,
Ozi
