When i am using powerpoint i create 20 slides. When i copy and paste the slides some of the animations don't copy and i have to re do them. Is there a reason why this always happens?

Normally this should work as you expect; there's probably something more to it that we'd only be able to figure out by looking at the actual slides.

However, if a particular animation doesn't copy, you can use the Animation Painter tool to "copy" the animation from the original shape and apply it to any other shape.

    It's on the Animations toolbar.

    Dear AnthonyBurniston,

    Thank you for your update.

You may have misunderstood me because of the lack of clarity in my account. As I need to collect your product version for further testing, I would like you to provide me with screenshots of your product version. You will need to provide the product information as shown below, you can capture the screenshot of the product information by going to File > Account.

And to further troubleshoot whether the issue is caused by the PowerPoint client or your account, please tell me the information below:

    1. Please upload this presentation to OneDrive, open it via PowerPoint Online and copy the content into the new presentation, check whether the animations paste into the new presentation.
    2. Please create a new PowerPoint presentation locally and edit some animations in the new presentation, then copy and paste it into another blank presentation.

Please tell me the result and I would like to assist you further. Thank you for your time and patience.

    Sincerely,

    Dear AnthonyBurniston,

Good day. Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

As per your description, when you paste slides from one presentation to another, the animations are not copied along with them. Please right-click and select Paste Options > Keep Source Formatting, check if it works for you.

If not, could you provide me the following information?

    1. May I know which version of the PowerPoint you use? Please select File > Account and capture the screenshot about the Product Information.
    2. If you create a new presentation, could you paste the slide and the animation in this new presentation to another presentation?

Thank you for your understanding and time.

    Sincerely,
