I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with synchronization, and I understand how you feel. In order to better help you, I'd like to confirm some questions with you: Are you using OneDrive or iCloud or another drive to save files that are not syncing?
To access Office files saved on your computer from your iPhone device, upload the files to OneDrive and then open them on your mobile device. For more information, see Sync the files on your computer with your mobile device - Microsoft Support
You can't sync word to iPhone, are you getting any errors? You can share the screenshot with us and we will analyze it further.
