Paste plain text into table does not keep table formatting

Instead it pastes as Aptos 11 which is the document's default formatting. The table is formatted as Calibri 8.

    In Word, the text formatting in table cells is connected to the document defaults and the Normal style in a way which is far from obvious. (The explanation is Word's convoluted hierarchy of styles & formatting.)

    To make text formatting in tables more consistent, ensure that the document default font settings (in the Set Defaults tab of the Manage Styles dialog box) match the corresponding font settings for the Normal style (Modify Style dialog box).
