missing card icon on python cells

the standard card icon has been replaced with PY in brackets. this is cosmetic only, i.e. all works but the icon itself is not displayed...as it is on all other reference sites/videos I see.

any ideas why? not a big deal, but would prefer to have it standard. thanks.

    Hello Karl Morawski,

Thank you for your reply, based on your description I understand that you seem to have withdrawn from the preview programme, you can click on File -> Account -> then on the right hand side at the version information there is a hint of Beta channel or current channel, if you have already launched the Beta channel this should be the cause of the problem.   In order to help the development department understand the issue more accurately, we recommend that you post your question or idea (with as much detail as possible, including images, copy videos, etc. if convenient) on the dedicated feedback platform Ideas · Community (microsoft.com) , where a dedicated developer will follow and comment on your feedback. After sending your feedback, you can share the feedback link in this forum, so that other users with similar problems, including me, can vote for your feedback, the more votes the more likely to get the attention of the development team, thank you for your cooperation. Thank you for your kind response! Specific replies are below:

    • Are you using the desktop version of Excel on Windows or the web version?   desktop, full 365 package installed
    • Are you on the Microsoft 365 Preview Experience programme?   indeed I had been, but now note that the check box is unchecked on Account options page I had reinstalled 365, so perhaps a change for this reason I will reengage to see if that changes anything
    • Was the card icon visible before? Or has it never shown up?   it indeed had been visible, but subsequently disappeared...not sure what had been the cause

At any rate, again thanks for the reply. As previously noted, it is purely cosmetic, and all appears to work well. As such, I suspect I will just wait for the eventual update / once out of preview.

    Best,
    K
