Excel 365 for Mac OS - Copy Paste Bug

When data is filtered and then you copy and paste into another sheet or document, the data added is the complete data set prior to being filtered. The paste operation does not paste only the filtered data., you get everything. This used to work without an issue.

Current Version of Excel for Mac 365: 16.85

In Windows version, only the filtered data is copied and paste.

First, try restarting the Mac if you haven't already done so. If that doesn't correct it...

Update your Office software. Version 16.85.2 is the most recent Current Channel build.

I'm running 16.86 [Current Channel (Preview)] on Ventura & cannot reproduce the problem

    Dear Sandy Goodwin,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I understand your concern and I would appreciate if you could help confirm the following information:

    • May I know if this issue happens in a specific Excel file or different files?
    • You mentioned this used to work without an issue. Does it mean that it worked fine in previous version of Excel for Mac and this issue started after you updated to version 16.85?

Look forward to your reply. Thanks for your time and cooperation!

    Sincerely,

    Tina | Microsoft Community Moderator
