Hello. I have tried to move my files from desktop to a network source, and Power Query is no longer working.

Expression.Error: The key didn't match any rows in the table.

Details:

Key=

    Folder Path=O:\sample\sample\sample\sample\sample\The file 2021-2022.xlsm

    Name=The file 2021-2022.xlsm

Table=[Table]

It looks like a file error, but the files were not change in any way. Tried changing it for both sample file location and query source, but the error appear everywhere.

Thanks in advance!

    Dear Shakiru,

    Thanks for your reply. Sometimes excel works in strange ways, as today everything was working fine with no changes. Hopefully your reply might be of use to someone else :)

    Hi Anna P!

    I am Shakiru, an independent advisor and a user like you, and I am glad to be helping you out today.

    “Expression.Error: the key didn’t match any rows in the table,” typically occurs when Power Query is unable to find a row that matches the key values you’ve specified.

    Have you checked the File Path?

    • Ensure that the file path and name in the Power Query match exactly with the location and name of the file on the network source.

    In addition, you can rename the worksheets in each workbook to be identical. Check PGonzaga's comment on this thread below for the possible solution: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/excel/power-query-error-the-key-didn-t-match-any-rows-in-the-table/m-p/2443417

    Please let me know how it goes and if you need any other assistance and I will be more than happy to help further.

    Thank you

    Best Regards, Shakiru
