This Saturday I received the following message from the number mentioned
(this is how the number appears in the Smartphone Link app):

Set a new password so that your apps and devices can continue to be used.
You can find more information here: https://aka.ms/alcaph

What could have triggered it?

I've just started working with three virtual desktops,
each with an average of three different Excel spreadsheets open,
Edge with about five tabs each, calculator, editor and some messaging apps.

Excel has now become very sluggish (copying just a handful of cells takes half a minute or more),
and I've always had problems switching from editing on smartphone to desktop.

When I recently changed a file on the smartphone,
it was locked on the desktop and I had to save it under a new name on Onedrive in order to continue.

These are probably two different things, I'll restart the PC now.

But it seems to me that Excel is being neglected, there should be so much more possible now with AI.

I've been using Open Office for many years now and Excel actually seems to me to be ****,
even though it has some great functions (like stock market updates).

What can you say about the message?

I have manually added VM functions to my Windows version to be able to use Bluestacks
and the "PIA Suite" (Private Internet Access) is installed.

Could the VPN have triggered the request?

It is an HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-eb1xxx,

Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz, 2701 MHz, 4 core(s), 8 logical processor(s),
Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics.

Windows Build 22631.3737.

I'm curious about that.
