OneDrive Wrong Account

Hello,

I got a PC when I was young and my Dad signed his Microsoft + OneDrive account onto the PC without asking.

I recently decided I wanted my OneDrive account working and for my PC information to be backed up into OneDrive, I started the process and logged onto MY account (not this one, this one being my fathers) and paid the £19.99 for more storage to backup everything.
After the payment I realised my PC was signed to my Dads Microsoft/OneDrive and did not have this paid upgrade in storage and benefits.

Am I able to switch my PC to my Microsoft/OneDrive without any complications? -me loosing everything and such-

Am I able to return my payment, get my money back and pay for it on my Dads account?
Am I able to link me and my Dads accounts so I can use what I bought?

What should I do here?

Thank you for your time.

    Hello Arkco

Thank you for using Microsoft products and publishing them in the community.

I understand that you are having problems with "OneDrive account". I understand the problem and want to help you better in your situation.

Regarding your first question, you can either add your account to switch or delete your old one and add it again.

For Microsoft accounts you can check this article:

Add or remove accounts on your PC - Microsoft Support

Change from a local account to a Microsoft account - Microsoft Support

OneDrive account you can view these articles:

How to remove an account in OneDrive - Microsoft Support

Regarding your second question, you can contact Microsoft online support for a refund:

    Contact Microsoft Support.

    1. Go to the following website: Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. Enter contact there.
    3. Select Getting help.
    4. Select Contact support.
    5. Under Products and services, select Microsoft 365 and Office.
    6. Under Category, select Manage My Subscription.
    7. Go to Confirm.
    8. Select Chat with a support agent or request a callback.

Regarding your third question, Microsoft accounts and OneDrive accounts are not currently merged, and services you purchase on a single account can only be used on that account.

I hope the above information can help you. Feel free to send a message if you need further help.
