Power Automate connector "Send an email (V3)" allowing users send emails to external recipients

Hello Everyone,

We have identified that the Outlook connector “Send an email (V3)” in Power Automate is allowing users to send emails to external recipients. We have restricted the sending of emails to external recipients using Power Automate by enabling an Email Exfiltration block rule at the Exchange level.

For some reason, this rule is not applying only to the connector “Send an email (V3)”. We have tested another connector “Send an email (V2)” and the Email exfiltration block rule is working on this connector (emails are not being received by externals).

Please guide me on what needs to be done in this case. Thanks in advance.

    Dear Koteswara,

The send an email V3 connector and the send an email V2 connector have difference. The key difference is the sender.

The send an email V3 connector's sender is ******@powerapps.com and the send an email V2 connector's sender is the flow trigger who is an actual user.

So I think that you may check the email header of the email from the Mail connector and creating a new rule like the following may help.

Welcome to share your updates at your convenience.

Thank you for your effort and time.

    Sincerely
