In Excel spreadsheet is it possible to resize a histogram, box & whisker, waterfall and funnel plot area which I can do for all other charts ? Thanks

As frustrating as it is, the answer is no. Without using the built-in histogram, you can make a histogram chart with a column chart, in which case you will be able to resize the plot area. This is also true for b&w and waterfall charts. I'll stand on the funnel plot.
