Hello John Peter,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

May I know which operation system are you using? Are you using **** Mac or Windows?

  • For Mac, to remove Office accounts login credentials for Office desktop applications, you may follow steps below:
       1. Firstly, sign out from Office apps and close all Office apps.
       2. Open Finder, go to Applications > Utilities > open **Keychain Access**. remove '**Microsoft Office Identities Cache**' and '**Microsoft Office Identities Settings**' and other entries related to Office.

  • For Windows, to remove Office accounts login credentials for Office desktop applications, you may follow steps below:
        1. Sign out from Office apps and close all Office apps.

        2. Open **Credential Manager** > Windows Credentials > Generic Credentials > remove credentials related to Office. It looks like: MicrosoftOfficeXXData:XXXXXX

        3. Clear Office credentials from Registry Editor:

Open Registry Editor, go to the following path: **HKEY\_CURRENT\_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\Identities**

delete the whole Identities folder. (Pleaseback up itbefore you delete it.)

By the way, to remove accounts login credentials for Office 365 for the web, you may clear your browser cache.

Let me know if you have any concerns.

If my understanding of the scenario is not consistent with yours, feel free to point it out, I will continue helping you.

Thanks for your time and cooperation. Have a nice day!

Best regards,

Tina
