Which version of Office/Excel is installed on the computer that does not display the drop-down list automatically?

Thanks. You're on the Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel. This channel introduces new features with a delay, and only twice a year, on the second Tuesday of January and July. So you should get an update this coming Tuesday, the 9th of July. I expect that autocomplete for data validation will be included in this update.
