Select the text box. On the contextual tab, called Text Box in older versions of Word or Shape Format in recent versions of Word, click Shape Outline and then click No Outline.
removing text box border
Is there a step I can take to remove the border in a Microsoft 2010 Word text box? I've already tried More Layout Options.
Thanks in advance!

What Stefan was referring to was the contextual Ribbon tab that appears when you select a text box, the Shape Format tab. In earlier versions, it is called Drawing Tools | Format.

Thank you!
