List sorting doesn't work

Question

A single line text column sorted in descending order using the classic edit view options does nothing. After I save, I can see the options saved are just removed. Complete waste of my time.

Sounds like a bug you can reproduce, so why aren't you reporting it?

Since this is related to Microsoft 365 product services and features, the product team may consider developing a more convenient configuration based on customer requests. You can submit feedback by visiting the Community or using the Feedback option in SharePoint.
