One drive not syncing desktop folder .

Folders on C:/users /desktop / aren't syncing with one drive desktop folder. the folder desktop and its contents are selected for sync on one drive and whatever i save on my desk top is syncing to one drive. but when i go to C:/users /desktop / , files there are not syncing with my one drive desktop .Do i need to move them manually ? is there any way to sync those ?

    The desktop is not a safe location for data files, shortcuts fine but not acual data.

    Under 0365 the default save location is OneDrive which means you are doing something unusual in your useage/method

    OneDrive is not a backup but the default location of your docs
