The vendor / developer will be your best resource to debug their application.

    Hello @Paul Aldridge

I would suggest you below troubleshooting steps.

    1. Please also check application logs from installation folder.
    2. If you have any Antivirus then please whitelist this application and application folder path.
    3. If you enable Windows firewall then please turn it off temporarily.
    4. If the update version available for this application then please try to update it.

    Many thanks both of you..

The answers I get are it's a Windows problem; the same version of SHOUTCast is running on an old Server 2003 box without any issues.

I will enable logging to see what appears.

No antivirus other than MS Defender

I have an exception in the Firewall, but when it works it's fine - it just crashes from time to time.

I'm running the latest stable version

Any suggestions why I don't get notified when an answer is posted, even though I'm following

    Thanks in advance

Sounds 100% correct. Below from the vendor website. The burden is on the vendor as to whether they choose to certify for Server 2019

The Windows version of sc_serv is designed to run on fully updated and patched versions of Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7.
