Default Groups SharePoint online

Hello all,

Hello,

Quick question about default groups. Apart from owners, members and visitors, I can create a new group and set it at site level with a custom permission. Also have the option to "make it default group", however, when want to list default groups under restapi using the "site groups" option, it seems that there is no flag to identify a newly defined default group from other custom groups. I would prefer a Rest API way to do it as wanted to run it via Power Automate flows. Please advise.

While your question does relate to SharePoint, it appears to be more focused on API-related functionalities and custom development, which falls slightly outside the scope of our community's focus on standard SharePoint issues. However, I want to ensure you get the best possible support for your query.

For questions related to the SharePoint REST API or custom solutions like Power Automate flows, I recommend reaching out to the SharePoint Developer Community. The experts there specialize in these topics and will be able to provide you with more precise and detailed guidance.

    Thanks for your response

Despite my choice of using power automate or power shell or any other query methods I am still having a SharePoint question. Either via the Admin SP GUI or SP rest API.

I would like to know how can I identify a group that was being made a default group after the site creation (owners l, members or visitors)

    Is there a way ?
