Problems adding a folder from OneDrive to Windows Folder

Hi, historically I had a file that was shared with me that I had added to my desktop folders for easy access (this wasn't a short cut that took me to OneDrive via a web browser it was a folder that sat alongside my other OneDrive folders that I accessed by clicking the folder on the task bar). This disappeared recently from both my wife and my computers. I spoke with someone at Microsoft who said it was a known issue, that I would see lots of commentary on it on web forums if I looked (haven't been able to spot any). Is anyone aware of this issue, is it resolved, if it is how do I recreate what I had? I can't even create a shortcut that leads me to to OneDrive via the browser now, when I go into OneDrive and click the circle next to the folders, no option appears to 'Create a Shortcut', so at the moment if I want to access OneDrive I'm having to login every time via a web browser.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Thank you for your response. Sorry, my message probably wasn't as clear as it should be. I have successfully created a shortcut within OneDrive, but it is not appearing in File Explorer. I've tried removing the shortcut and recreating it, but it makes no difference. The only way for me to access teh shared folder is by logging in to OneDrive. What I need to be able to do, which up until a few months ago I was always able to, is access it from File Explorer - this wasn't jsut a link to OneDrive, I was able to access everything from my PC.
