Hi

There is an Excel chart that was done around the year 2000 and is in great need of updating and I could easily do the update if I had access to the data that produces the chart but the problem is datum are in some cells that I cannot access since all headinhs for rows and columns (I mean letters A, B, C, etc. and numbers 1, 2, 3, etc.) are hidden.

I have searched within the Excel help without luck, so could someone please tell me how to display those headings?

I'm certain I am not editing a cell when the Heading option is greyed out.

It seems more like a security restriction. My question now would be how to get to the security setting that make this happen?

Make sure that you are not editing a cell.

The "Headings" and other options in that section are greyed. Is there a way I can activate them?

Activate the View tab of the ribbon.

In the Show group, tick the check box Headings:
