    Dear Jeffrey Riemer,

    Thank you for your reply.

We see that you said that after logging into Word or Excel on iPad, the document folder will not be realistic. The folder displayed in Excel is the live folder, and the files are saved in it.

We have tested and confirmed that some account users do have folders updated and displayed as live folders. If this folder appears, your document folder will not be displayed. This is equivalent to updating the name of the folder.

You can use the live folder to help you view and save your files. We may not be able to directly help you change the update and name information of the folder.

We will collect more information to help confirm. At the same time, if you still need to display your document folder, we recommend that you put forward your suggestions and ideas in the dedicated feedback platform OneDrive · Community (microsoft.com) (English only), where dedicated personnel will pay attention to your feedback and comment and confirm the update information.

    Best Regards,

As soon as I logged into Word and Excel, my document folder disappeared, and everything was under live folders. What do I need to do to straighten this out?

    Dear Jeffrey Riemer,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

We understand that you open the Excel document in iOS and the folders of the live folder are displayed.

According to your description, the folders of the live folder are displayed when you view it in Excel, but the document folder information is displayed when you open it through the OneDrive program.

We tested and inquired using different accounts and devices, and need to explain to you:

We tested using different accounts. In some accounts, the folders of the live folder are displayed when opening Excel and viewing the document, but in other accounts, the folders of the live folder are not displayed. The document folder is displayed after logging in to OneDrive.

This may be because the OneDrive program update on the mobile device has caused some functions and displays to change, but your account has not been fully detected and updated successfully.

Usually, this will not affect your file viewing and saving. We will also collect more information to help confirm the details of the OneDrive update.

If the document displays errors or has other problems during use, you can reply to us and we will help you check it.

    Best Regards,

Zenobia-MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
