Excel for Mac alt function key

Hi folks,

hope you all are doing well, I have a very basic question. I noticed that some time back we have an alt key which was working in MacBook as option key and used to show alphabets on the excel top to access those functions but now option (alt in windows) is not working anymore.

Can anyone guide me over this?

I am using office 365 Home and I am using macOS sequoia 15.0 Beta (24A5320a)

It would be great for efficiency for my working.

That's a Windows feature which isn't yet implemented in Mac Excel but is being tested. It did appear for a short time as a part of the testing process but it was withdrawn for further development.

Once it is released it will be available to all Microsoft 365 subscriptions which aren't managed by an organization. I assume that availability in managed environments will be at the discretion of the organization's IT folks.
