MaxLocksPerFile problem

I am getting run time error 3052 advising me to increase MaxLocksPerFile value in the registry. I researched this in the community and found the appropriate instruction and key in the registry; I updated the registry value from the default 9500 to 20000 (decimal). That did not change the behavior in any way-- same error, same timeframe.

I have used Access for 20 years with multiple databases, and I have run complex code; I have never gotten this error. This seems to be a multiple-user related error, but I am not working on a network, that is, no one else sees or uses these databases but me. What the hell is going on?!

Note: I have my database on my OneDrive, so I ran the code from a different machine; i got the same error, so it apparently is not a machine issue.

    Hi,

You didn't describe when the error happens, which circumstances or actions.

20000 isn't much either. Try if e.g. a temporary change to 200000 helps in your situation. See also the old KB article, method 2.
