Permission errors with Shared folders in OneDrive.

Error:
OneDrive the location no longer exists or you dont have permission to add items here

The user is a member of "My Family" and also added them individually with their MS account to edit the file.

They cannot view existing files in the folder nor can they upload files to the shared folder.

Same error on the Desktop version and Mobile iPhone app for OneDrive.

Have deleted and recreated the sahred folder multiple times and have same issue.

How is this still an issue since May 2024?

Still same issue going into the new year.. Can't set up shared folders for employees to use going to CES. Not sure good look. Insane to have such a major and obvious problem for a year and Microsoft hasn't fixed it. We'll be sticking to Dropbox for now and solutions that actually work reliably.

Yes, same problem since about March 2024. So irritating. I have sent multiple emails and get broken English replies calling me "you are very dear to me". I have never felt the power of big business until I met with this absolute wall of inability to access any useful help.

Apparently their engineers are working on a solution... which seems odd since it was a feature for several years on less advanced versions.

On our personal one drives we have a saved shortcut to the internet page but in order to view a file you have to open it within the cloud which is clumsy and the office suite is not nearly as easy to work with on the internet as on the desktop apps. You can't move your files or save new files into a file that has been shared by someone else. (You can only open a new file within the shared folder within webpage) .

And in addition, an internet shortcut is only useful if you have internet! which we often don't where we are, in the jungle.

Just venting. Don't expect to get anywhere. Still missing "Always keep on this device"

Our work around is that the other person saves their new file to a folder they have now also shared with me. When I open their file on the web, under the "edit" drop down menu, you can open on the desktop. Then I save a copy to our main shared file where they can also edit (& now edit on desktop!) and I delete the old copy in their shared file.
