I am creating organisation charts via the Visio add-in on Excel. When I am using Excel (have tried both the desktop app and online), everything seems to be working correctly. However, when I try to edit the diagram in Visio I am met with the following error message: ‘An error occurred while saving the diagram as a Visio file. We can’t open it in Visio for the web. Please try again.’
I have moved the Excel file to both my local drive and shared folders and still receive the message. The license to Visio is still valid, and I am able to access Visio separately both via the desktop app and online. The issue just seems to be downloading the organisation chart drawing from Excel to Visio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
