Help, student here!

Question

I have Microsoft word from my previous school and somehow am still logged into it even though my email doesn’t exist with them anymore as I left the school over 4 years ago. I now go to a different university (also uses OneDrive) and was wondering if it’s possible to transfer all the files from my previous school’s account to my new school’s account? If anyone has any guides on how to do so please drop them below!

Thanks for sharing back with me. I appreciate your kind words. 

In this situation, it needs to save the documents as local and then upload them to your new school OneDrive manually. This would be the safest way to transfer files. Upload and save files and folders to OneDrive - Microsoft Support

Hi Mia,

I am unable to access the first institution's OneDrive account, I only have access to Microsoft Word that is logged into that account (somehow). Sorry, I should have mentioned that!

Is it possible to transfer just the Microsoft Word files to my new account?

Dear respected Nicole,

We went through your post carefully and it seems like you can still access the previous school account with the stored files in OneDrive, and now you are getting a new school account where you want to transfer the files from previous account. Please correct me if I made any misunderstanding.

To transfer all files between two accounts, the first recommendation is to use the local OneDrive desktop app and login both accounts where it allows you transfer all files just with simple right-click of copy and paste and waiting the data transfer.
