stocks data type problem in pivot table

I have a table that has a column with the stocks data type. Creating a pivot table works fine until I add that Stocks column. When I attempt to reopen the workbook, I get “We found a problem with some content in (name of file).  Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can?  If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes.” When I click yes it opens the workbook and gives me a link that states;

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

<recoveryLog xmlns="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/spreadsheetml/2006/main"> <logFileName>error296480_01.xml</logFileName><summary>Errors were detected in file 'https://d.docs.live.net/c9fda1c5c5d449bf/TWMN/IWMN/WM Test/TWMN WealthMachine - Copy.xlsm'</summary> <repairedRecords><repairedRecord>Repaired Records: PivotTable report from /xl/pivotCache/pivotCacheDefinition1.xml part (PivotTable cache)</repairedRecord></repairedRecords> </recoveryLog>

This happens every time I open the workbook moving forward and causes a bigger problem because we compile this workbook into an app.
