PowerPoints Won’t Open

I bought an IPad for school this fall and have been using PowerPoint on it for a few months now with no issues. Today, I suddenly cannot open any of my PowerPoints and I always get the message in the photo attached. I have tried updating my iPad, restarting it, and deleting and redownloading the PowerPoint app. I have closed out all of my other applications, but none of this has fixed the issue. I am able to open the PowerPoints on other devices, so I don’t think it is an issue with the files.

    Hi Jsmalls100,

As per the description, it seems like this presentation can be opened normally from other devices like PCs or other mobile devices. If my understanding is correct, since you have tried the steps like update, restart, reinstallation but the issue persists, my suggestion to fix this efficiently is to open the presentation on other available device and save a copy of it and then open the copied file to edit on PowerPoint for iPad.

If you want to further investigate the root cause of the can't open error on your updated PowerPoint app and iOS on iPad, it requires to contact the online support team and engineers there have the support resources to make remote session with your iPad and collect the HAR logs to trace the issue. Please correct me if I made any misunderstanding or if there have anything else I can do for you.

Your patience is highly appreciated. Hope you a nice day and stay safe!

    Best Regards,

    Mia
