Cannot Access Authenticator App

When I try to login on the authenticator app to my college email, it then prompts me to use the authenticator app for a code but I can't access a code because I am in the app trying to login on there. When I go to the account I only have 2 options a "2 way verification" and a "Connected account", both lead me to nothing, I do not have a QR code for the"2 Way verification" and the Connected accounts, I cannot even click on. I would really like to solve this problem so that I can have access to my college account. Please get back to me when you can. Similar problems have been brought up in the community and have gone unanswered. I would really like a response.

    Dear Zappia Cooper

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know the scenario you are meeting. For this, as what I know, since you are using M365 for education account so for this, you need to contact your admin to disable MFA or change MFA method for you in admin center. Here is the reference: Set up multifactor authentication for users - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn and Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication | Microsoft Learn . If you choose disable MFA for you, you can log in your account just with account and password.

And if you still want to use Authenticator for this, but since your problem is related to the authenticator app. And we're a forum that's responsible for issues and queries about the Teams client, so it's really out of scope of support. But there is a delicate team that focuses on the issues and consults on the authenticator application. Therefore, I sincerely suggest that you support the authenticator app community. Engineers who are responsible for authenticator app-related issues will provide you with more help. Believe that engineers will help you solve the problem. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

Hope this can help. If there is any update, please feel free to let me know. Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.

    Sincerely,

    Katherine
