Microsoft Loop storage consumption

I wanted to try out Loop, so I created a new document and did some stuff. Then I realised that Loop is suddenly consuming more than 2 GB of my Microsoft Storage and it's almost full. So I deleted the document and emptied the recycle bin but, it is still the same. The storage is not released and I'm about to run out of storage.

How can I get Loop to delete everything that I created and release the storage?

OK, I'll wait and see what happens, then proceed as you suggested.

    Hi! Amirmasoud.rz,

    Thank you for your reply!

We have checked the recycle bin in OneDrive and Microsoft Loop and they are both in the empty state now. Therefore it is possible that the OneDrive server failed to synchronize and update your account space in a timely manner due to an unstable connection between the regional network and the OneDrive server. As community members do not have the authority to help users check the storage space status of their accounts. For now I suggest you to be patient for some time and if your storage space is still not released after 24 hours, please contact OneDrive team for further support regarding OneDrive space by clicking on the link below: email the OneDrive support team.

If the link above to send an email to the OneDrive team doesn't work, you can also contact the OneDrive team via OneDrive mobile on your cell phone as follows:

    1. If you are using an Android phone (the OneDrive mobile app can be found in the Google Play store): open OneDrive > click My > Help & Feedback at the bottom of the page.
    2. If you are using an iPhone (OneDrive mobile app available from the App Store): Please open OneDrive > click on your avatar on the left side of the page > click on Help and Feedback

Please understand that there may be strange errors in the translation process, as my native language is not the language you speak. If I have not described something clearly enough, please point it out.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

    Hi! Amirmasoud.rz,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community! I realize that you've encountered a problem with Microsoft Loop consumes a lot of storage space and cannot be released and I understand how you feel. At the very beginning, I would like to explain to you that Microsoft Loop is currently available mainly for business users. Individual users currently only have access to a preview version of Microsoft Loop that includes some basic features.

I noticed that you have tried to empty the Recycle Bin in the Microsoft Loop, have you tried to situation the OneDrive Recycle Bin? If not, can you please click on the link: OneDrive (live.com) , sign in to your OneDrive and then click on Recycle Bin to check if the OneDrive Recycle Bin contains the appropriate files and clear them. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Best Regards Eddy | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
