Notebook went missing from onenote.

I was working on a notebook and had to close the program. This is on a Microsoft surface BTW. When I reopened the program, my notebook was gone. All the other notebooks that I have were displaying that there was no data. Since then, I tried to check the backups, it isn't there either. The local back up will not let me open anything so i go to the OneDrive back up and that is were i can see some of my notebooks. I do see the first page of my missing notebook but it is categorized as a notebook now. The pages of this new notebook are the ones from my missing one.

Unfortunately, I am unable to restore anything to my program. Anytime I try to it says it is read only and has not been synced.

Let me know if there is more information you'd need to diagnose the problem.

I am trying to study for an exam right now so any help would be great!

I am getting a 404 file not found on onenote.com

and I am seeing the same problem on 365. I cannot sync anything.

So I was able to restore the program to a previous time and that restored the notebook that went missing, but as soon as turn the sync back on all the notebooks end up with nothing in them.

Check the web version of OneNote:

    https://www.microsoft365.com/launch/OneNote

    or https://www.onenote.com/

It is the "source of truth", since everything syncs from the cloud.
