Hi there,

Im currently using a 2019 version of excel.

All my files are saved directly to one drive , however when i open old excel documents using one drive on my desktop (file explorer) , it doesnt just let me save the changes made . instead it prompts me to either save the changes as a copy or discard them. Im the owner of these documents and dont share them with anyone else, however i get the below error message all the time.

I have tried clearing the office cache, reset one drive , checked for office updates but nothing has helped me so far and im not comfortable using the one drive online to save these changes to old excel spreadsheets. Please share any other solutions that you may have.

Kind regards
Simone
