I used to pay for Microsoft 365, and I use OneDrive to keep my files, but I don't backup Desktop files, now after some OneDrive Issues I lost all my desktop files, what happened:

  1. Quit my account from Sync
  2. Unistalled and Installed new OneDrive to refresh
  3. After installing, OneDrive automatic Syc was started for my Desktop
  • I suspended this synching, and all my desktop data was deleted.

Years of work were lost because of that issue. No recovery is possible.

As the sync was suspended my files to the cloud weren't loaded, and no deleted files existed for recovery.

I tried with an external tool but cant find "deleted files". What can I do?

Did you check the online recycle bin?

File recovery software does not need the recycle bin. Deleted files on your Windows computer are marked to be overwritten with new data. If they don't get overwritten, they may be recovered.

Try the free Recuva File Recovery software, but there are better alternatives out there at a price.

    Hi,

I immediately canceled the upload because the files were over 10 gigabytes. If I had synced them, my video editing software wouldn’t work properly, as it can’t handle files in cloud-synced folders.

In the cloud, the folder structure exists. But there are no files inside.

    Hi!

I did it. No files inside folders, the structure was created but as I canceled synching Something happened, I guess files In the cloud have priority when synching, But as I don't allow complete loading there's nothing inside. Why I did it? Because files were over 10 Gigabytes.

I'm using video software that can handle files in cloud services.

I have tried third-party software tools for the recovery of data, but no files are in the trash.

Did you check the folder at C>Users>Username>OneDrive>Desktop?
