Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello Miles,
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Microsoft has recently been experimenting with new Microsoft 365 subscription possibilities (including the AI tool Copilot) to meet the needs of different users. So with Copilot being added to Microsoft 365, users in certain areas may notice the addition of the Copilot service to Microsoft 365 app as well as an increase in subscription fees. I fully understand the inconvenience this may cause, especially for some users who do not wish to use AI feature.
Refer to the link below to see what Copilot can do with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and then choose whether or not to renew your subscription to Microsoft 365 with Copilot based on your needs. If you think the service is worthwhile, you don't need to make any subscription changes.
However, If you prefer to use Microsoft 365 apps without Copilot at all. Please refer to the following to try to switch back to your old subscription.
If you have not yet renewed at the higher price:
- Visitaccount.microsoft.com/services.
- Select the Microsoft 365 Personal subscription you have and select “Manage”.
- Select “Cancel Subscription ”.
- View “Switch to a subscription that suits you better” and select “Microsoft 365 Personal /Family Classic”.
- After following the instructions to complete your subscription. Your subscription will automatically renew to Classic when its existing subscription expires.
If you have renewed at a higher price:
Please Contact Microsoft Billing Department for one to one assistance.
- Visit this website: Contact - Microsoft Support
- Type Contact in the search box.
- Now click Get help, and Select Contact Support or sign in to contact support below.
- Go to the Products and services tab, and choose either Microsoft 365 and Office category.
- On the Category tab, choose Manage My Subscription.
- Go to Confirm.
- You can now choose the option of Chat with a support agent on your web browser.
I hope this is useful and please feel free to ask any questions.
