Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Dear Arcas Services1
Good day!
Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist!
Based on your description, I understand you concern with to switch Microsoft Business Standard to Business Basic. Since it doesn't seem feasible to downgrade from Business Standard to Basic directly. You may have a try to do following steps in Microsoft 365 admin center:
- Purchase the Business Basic License: First, you need to purchase the Microsoft 365 Business Basic license for each user
- Assign the New License: Once you have purchased the Business Basic licenses, assign them to the users who need to be downgraded
- Cancel the Business Standard Subscription: After assigning the new licenses, you can cancel the Microsoft 365 Business Standard subscription that you no longer need
Since you have a one-year subscription with auto-renewal, you might not be able to downgrade directly from the user panel. If you are an end user, you may need to contact you IT admin. If you are a global admin, to better help, we sincerely recommend that contact our dedicated Billing support team via Microsoft 365 admin page, see Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn or directly by phone Find Microsoft 365 for business support phone numbers by country or region - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn. They will be able to assist you in investigating the charges and resolving the issue.
Thanks for your precious time and your understanding would be highly appreciated. Have a nice day!
Best regards,
