A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
Dear Mister_Mo,
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Based on the information you have shared, I understand that you seem to be unable to use operations such as cutting, copying, deleting rows etc. in Excel, and that you have tried a lot of ways to do so, which I can very much understand.According to your description of the information, I hope we can step by step troubleshooting the cause, if you have not tried the following options, we recommend that you can first troubleshoot:*1. Make sure your options are correct:*You can click File->Options->Advanced as shown below to check your option settings:*2. Enter Safe Mode to check for add-ons:*Sometimes third-party add-ons can cause Excel to function abnormally, you can try to disable the add-ons to troubleshoot the cause of the third-party plug-ins or add-ons:Press Windows + R, and then type excel /safe, and then click enter, enter safe mode (please note the space in the middle)Click on the document in the upper left corner of the File - Options - Add-ins - Management of the place, switch to COM plug-ins, and then select ‘Go to’, uncheck all the plug-ins, click OK, restart the Excel document, look at the results.3. Registry reset OfficePress Windows + R, in the open Run box, type: regedit, and then press Enter.Find the following key to rename the Office folder (right-click on it and choose Rename, e.g. Office to rename Officeold)HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OfficeThen re-open the Excel document to try the effect.Disclaimer: Modifying the registry or workgroups is usually geared towards advanced users, administrators, and IT professionals, and it can help solve some problems, however, incorrect registry modifications can cause serious problems. Therefore, it is important to follow the steps below to the letter. For further protection, make a backup of the registry before modifying it. For more information on how to back up and restore the registry, see: How to back up and restore the registry in Windows - Microsoft SupportIf the above troubleshooting doesn't work, hopefully we can follow up with you to learn more and do further troubleshooting:
- What version of Excel are you currently using? You can find your version information on the right side of the screen by clicking on File - Account.
- Check your other Office programmes to see if the problem occurs?
- Did you do any updates or anything else before this didn't work? I look forward to your further updates and hopefully we can work together to resolve this strange issue.Thank you for your understanding.
