May I know which Microsoft product are you trying to use?

Since you post in Publisher category, are you trying to use Publisher? To my knowledge, Publisher App is available only on Windows computer, not Mac.

To better help you, could you also share with me a screenshot of your license information, which will help us know the license you have.

You can log in Microsoft 365 Subscriptions page via link https://portal.office.com/account/?ref=MeControl#subscriptions then capture a screenshot of your license, as shown below:
