- The first suggestion you in order to trace the file you can use the audit log.
- please go to the admin center >> compliance >> audit >> set the start time to a time that you are surely confirmed files were still exist.
- set the end time to the time you found it lost.
- set the lost folder path to limit the search to the specific location. You can get it by locating the related parent folder > click Details > click copy path> please check any symbols which is used to define "space" or other characters in the folder name, change them back to normal folder name.

- In case the files have been deleted from both of the recycle bin, our technical support team is still able to restore the files from the back end. To do this, you need to open a ticket to our support team.
