Microsoft 2007 Office Pro configuring?

Question

Why does Microsoft Office Professional tell me there's a missing file and then proceeds to configure before I can use it? I've tried a couple of methods I've seen on youtube but nothing sticks. I'm on an HP laptop running Win10 and everything's up to date. Help???

Hi! TigerWilliams,    Thank you for your response！ Currently reinstalling Office applications is the most straightforward fix. However, if your system is prompting for certain dll files that are missing, then it may be a corrupt system file and you will need to override the Windows installation to repair your Windows.

This operation will keep your files and software, just for the system repair(However, in order to maximize the protection of your data, please backup your important data in advance)

If your computer is Windows 10,please refer to the following steps:

1. Visit the following site to download the Media Creation Tool. Internet Explorer will be used here to download the tool: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I installed MS Office on this laptop from the original CDRoms.

So, are you saying I need to reinstall from the discs to resolve the issue? Or is this a compatibility issue between Office 2007 and Windows 10? I'm trying not to have to uninstall/reinstall everything.

I have also run the original diagnostics and it does not detect a problem.

At the very beginning, I would like to clarify with you that Microsoft Office 2007 is already a very early version, and after the operating system undergoes a newer iteration, it is very likely that there will be some unknown errors. Microsoft no longer maintains Microsoft Office 2007.

Microsoft Office 2007 is usually installed on a CD-ROM, and based on the information you have provided so far, it may be due to a corruption in your installation package.
