365 Developer Program - Subscription Expired

Hi Team,

I need your help please.

I'm an independent consultant working with Microsoft technologies, implementing a variety of solutions for my customers. As such as I have a Visual Studio Professional (MPN), Microsoft Action Pack, and 365 Developer Program Memberships.

My 365 Developer Program subscription expired last year - at the time the project I was delivering didn't require further development work so I let it lapse and planned to renew when it was required. I am now working on a new project with a specific Teams-related development requirement however I cannot find a way to renew my subscription.

I have tried deleting my profile and then rejoining the 365 Developer Program however it returns me to the same point, telling me my sub expired on Sep 27 2023 and users/data were deleted Nov 26 2023.

The original emails I received stated:

Subscription ID: enablemobility.onmicrosoft.com

Your administrator access, your subscription, and all your data will be deleted on 11/26/2023 (UTC).

You can return to your dashboard sixty (60) days after the deletion date and request a new Microsoft 365 trial developer subscription.

However I see no way to renew.

Can you help please?

    Hello Paul**,**

Good day! Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft community.

As per your description, it seems like that you're an independent consultant using Microsoft technologies, and your 365 Developer Program subscription expired last year. At the time, you chose not to renew as it was not necessary for your project.

However, you now require it for a new Teams-related development project. You’ve attempted to renew by deleting your profile and rejoining the 365 Developer Program, but it still shows your subscription expired on September 27, 2023, and your data was deleted on November 26, 2023.

Additionally, you’ve referred to the original emails stating that you can request a new trial subscription 60 days after deletion, but you’re unable to find a way to renew.

As of my knowledge, since the data has been erased already, there might not be a way to recover that account.

To assist you further, I recommend reaching out to Microsoft Support for the Developer Program team, who can provide more direct assistance with subscriptions and access to the developer program.

Explain your situation and request assistance in transferring the account to a new email.

Support Request Submission: Go to the Microsoft 365 Developer Program support page and submit a support request. Ensure you include all the information listed above to expedite the process.

For more additional FAQ related to MS 365 developer program, please follow this article: Microsoft 365 Developer Program FAQ | Microsoft Learn.

While waiting for the account transfer, ensure that all your critical work, apps, and configurations are backed up. You can export your apps and save configurations to avoid any loss during the transfer process.

After submitting the request, follow up with the support team to ensure they are processing the transfer before the current email address is deleted.

As we are from community team, we can only assist you to troubleshoot the query and providing you required information for feature’s availability status.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
