iPad doesn't recognize shared subscription

I have a paid subscription for Microsoft 365 and I'm sharing it with other family members.

While I have no issues and the other family member no issues on their MacBook they have an issue on there iPad.

Every time the iPad opens a Microsoft Office app there's a full screen information to pay for a subscription. After closing this there's a pop-up, that the subscription has ended. On this I have to click: already have a subscription.

I don't know why it's only on the iPad but I it is rather annoying

Hello M4551m0,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Sorry to hear that you are facing with some issues with iPad Microsoft 365 application. This seem to be an unknown issue with no former reports. Considering you mentioned all the issues appear on iPad applications, we can surmise that it has something related with iPadOS system environment or iCloud password and keychain service. You can have a try for the below options:

In "Settings" app, scroll down to find the "Microsoft 365 (Office)" application, select "Reset Microsoft 365 (Office)" option, then turn on all the three switches. Then switch to the application and restart it. Please notice that by doing this you will remove all the personal data that has not been synced with your online OneDrive account. Please make sure you have made a good backup before performing this operation.

After reset, Microsoft 365 app should have a fresh new start. Re-sign in the account in application, and check if your issue persists.

Another option is to check the iCloud password and keychain service. You can find it by opening "Settings" app, then click on the top option which is your account avatar and name, select iCloud on the right, then choose "iCloud password and keychain". When you enter this feature's setting page, turn off the option to "Sync this iPad", perform a reboot or wait for a while and turn it on again. Check your issue later then.

Kindly please share your results with us. We will provide you with further assistance based on your feedback.

Best Regards,

William.Y | Microsoft Community Support Specialist

    Hello William.Y,

Sorry for the late reply but I wanted to test it for a couple of days. After resetting the app multiple times now there's finally no notice and the app recognizes my subscription.

Thanks for your time and reply
