What is the difference between Windows Security and Defender in Microsoft 365 subscription

Windows 10/11 comes with Windows Security (which, AFAIK, is the same as Microsoft Defender)

Microsoft 365 Family (Subscription) also comes with Microsoft Defender
(plus the usual applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Clipchamp, OneNote)

Maybe the "Microsoft Defender" in Microsoft 365 subscription is in fact "Microsoft Defender for Office 365" (??)

Not sure though.

Q: what additional features are being offered/added in the case of Microsoft Defender in the Microsoft 365 Family subscription?

Thanks.

Some of the links you provide are for Defender in O365 Bus, not Personal/Family

FWIW I wouldnt rely on Defender, independent reviews give it an average mark

I would always use a paid for AV/Security from a recognised provider
