Hello Bruce Toien, welcome to the Microsoft Community.
It seems that when you encountered the issue of accidentally deleting multiple containers in OneNote for Windows 10, you found that using the drag selection method can easily lead to selecting content from other containers. It's important to be cautious about this and double-check before attempting to delete.
Additionally, there's an alternative method you can use: instead of dragging with the mouse to select content within a container, try pressing Ctrl + A. This will first select the current line or paragraph, and pressing Ctrl + A again will select the entire container. If you press Ctrl + A three times, it will select all content on the page. This approach can help you avoid accidental selections.
I understand that this may take some getting used to, but it's definitely a recommended way to prevent selection issues. You can also provide feedback to the development team through the Feedback Hub, as they regularly review the feedback submitted there. If you share the feedback link in your response, I and other users can vote on your feedback to increase its visibility.
Thank you for your understanding and support! Best RegardsEliac | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
