OneDrive multiple issues

I save a file locally, but Microsoft chooses to save it to OneDrive instead. How do I fix this?

I try to access my OneDrive files (that I did not save there) and OneDrive locks up and won't move/open, or delete files. How do I fix this?

When I try to open a file that has been saved to OneDrive against my will, I am asked to sign in. How do I fix this?

I saved a file locally and microsoft asks "Do you want to save your changes to d.docs.live.net?" when that is not the name of the file. How do I fix this?

Lastly, when this is all fixed, how can I disable OneDrive permanently so I can actually get some work done?

When will the finished version of OneDrive be released? I am tired of this incomplete version.

    Dear Joshua,

I understand your frustration with OneDrive. Here are steps to address the issues:

    1. Stop OneDrive from auto-saving

Go to OneDrive Settings, Backup, and turn off folder protection for Documents, Pictures, and Desktop.

    1. Avoid sign-in prompts

Ensure you’re signed into OneDrive correctly, or unlink and relink your account under Settings, then Account.

    1. “Do you want to save your changes” prompt

Right-click the file in OneDrive, select Free up space, and move it to a local folder.

    1. Disable OneDrive

In Settings, uncheck Start OneDrive automatically or uninstall it from Apps & Features.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to reach out if you need to.

    Best regards,

    Yuki
