Sorting column according to a separate sheet

Hello everyone,

I need to sort the column in the same way it is sorted in a separate sheet. The content in these two columns is the same, but it's sorted in a different way. I cannot simply copy paste, there are other columns with other information that is related to each cell.

Hope it makes sense, I would appreciate the help. Thank you.

Could you share a test file with some dummy data in it? Then I can have a try on it.

For sharing file, you may upload it to OneDrive or any other cloud drive and then post the link here.

Thank you for your reply. I created a test file. Let me try to explain. On the first sheet I have a list of names with a corresponding number. On the second sheet I have a list of same names with a corresponding colour name. You can see that the order of the names is different. I need to merge these three columns across two sheets. And don't want to copy and paste each because I have thousands of them.

    Here's the link. Thanks
