Personal workbook not automatically loading when generating an excel report from accounting software

I am having trouble with my personal workbook not automatically loading when I generate an excel report from my accounting software. It was working previously, but after a computer crash and restore, it no longer works. If I open an excel file that's already created then the file loads, but I need it to load when the report is generated and creates a new excel workbook. It also works if I just open a new workbook. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    From your description, issue seems generating an excel report from accounting software not trigger the Excel software to be recognized as opened action.

    You may create a shortcut for personal.xlsb or open a new workbook to open personal workbook as workaound.

    Since it works normally for new workbook and exist workbook, I guess you need to find help from accounting software support to make it work.
