Hello and greetings.
I just need a confirmation regarding redirecting android phone/device, using MTP/PTP, through Azure Virtual Desktops.

It is not working in the lab environment.

Is it supported ? Any insights regarding this issue ?

The following GPO configurations were configured:

  1. Checked if following RDP property to enable USB device, is set: redirection:usbdevicestoredirect:s:* enables USB device redirection. It exist on the host pool settings, by default it should be on.
  2. Group Policy on the user's local device: Navigate to: Computer Configuration > Policies> Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Connection Client > RemoteFX USB Device Redirection. Select: Allows RDP redirection of other supported RemoteFX USB devices from this computer. Select the Enabled option, and then select the Administrators and Users in RemoteFX USB Redirection Access Rights box. Select OK.

Thank you in advance.

@Haim Apologies for the delay in response and all the inconvenience caused because of the issue.

As mentioned below The Android client doesn’t support device redirection :

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/remote/remote-desktop-services/clients/remote-desktop-app-compare#other-redirection-devices-etc

Hence the mentioned scenario won't work.

    Hope it helps!!!
