We have a user called Jo****s who had an OneDrive online synced with local. His OneNote was on this OneDrive.

He changed his name to J****s so his path to OneDrive changed. Furthermore, he now cannot see his OneNote on local or online OneDrive; just disappeared. We as admins cannot see it either. Where has the OneNote stuff gone? All his other files on the OneDrive are intact and visible.

Just to point out I am the admin and not the user.

I have checked OD recycle bin and there is no sign of the OneNote. I cannot see it on the local OneDrive nor on online Onedrive.

However, if the user launches OneNote he can see the onenote although its complaining that its its not synced. I suspect its pulling this up from backup and not Onedrive. Now we could get user to export this as a package and then import it back to OneDrive. However, the users OnNote app does not have an export option.

But the main question remains - where has the OneNote from local/online OneDrive gone?

    Dear Hanif888,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with viewing pictures you collected in a "forms" survey. I deeply understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it.

We appreciate your understanding that sometimes the initial response may not resolve the problem immediately. However, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation. So, for further troubleshooting, could you please provide the information below:

    1. Could you please let me know if you have checked the user’s Online OneDrive recycle bin and the local machine’s recycle bin?
    2. Additionally, could you please look for the notebook in OneNote for Web? You can go to www.onenote.com, sign into your account and let me know what you find?
    3. If needed, you can also provide a screenshot related to the issue/error. You can upload the screenshot using this feature:
